Bartender's Thoughts

If you have not opened your eyes to see the new World in which we live and you were one of those who chose to vote with your heart instead of your brain, now is the time to realize that you now reside in a Post Constitutional America.
What do I mean by this? Well, I am not the first to use the term but just like those who have, I have my own opinion regarding the reality that is before us.
I challenge anyone today to ask a school aged child about the founding of this Country and see what type of response you will receive. In fact, I challenge you to ask them anything related to this Country and it's founding and see the level of inaccuracy you will receive. I know, many of you are probably wondering how asking a child about our Founding is relevant to the current state of the Union but I assure you, to understand Post Constitutional America, one must first analyze the state of those who will one day defend our Founding Documents. If Children of varying ages and grade levels within the United States cannot define our Founding documents with some level of competency, how in the World are we to assume that they will be able to defend it?
We have allowed a system to build in which the three "Rs" have been replaced with Social Policy education in the areas of Diversity, Tolerance, GLBT, Social Justice, Green Energy, and of course the cause of all evil, Man Made Global Warming. All of these issues are items that should be addressed in the home with parents but unfortunately the parent has and is being replaced by Government.
One item missing or misrepresented in the public school forum today is our Founding. Our Founders are now being characterized as racists, our documents as racist and non tolerant gibberish, and in many groups they are all being dismissed in their entirety in favor of a Socialist Utopia which Europe, like many cultures before it, are dying at the hands of in front of our very eyes.
Our leaders know that knowledge is power and thus a dumbed down society is only a threat to itself and not those who pretend to lead us. As long as our Children are not afforded the pleasure of knowing the truth of those great men and women who risked life and limb for the alien concept of Liberty, we will spend the rest of our days as Reagan stated, telling our subsequent family members how it was to once be free in America.
Make sure you spend time with your children explaining to them the importance of Liberty and the documents which support this waning concept. Make sure that the light of Liberty is revived from the shadows and moved to the tallest mountain where it can once again shine to the World as both a deterrent to those who seek to change it or remove it, and a welcome beacon for those who seek to live in the best Country the World has ever known.
